"My name is Alan Mitchell, I am a artist.
Art has permeated my life it is something I love and need fighting for. It's more than words it's something that can move you, challenge your way of thinking. It is empathy, it is a way to express empathy towards others. Art will shape this world.
I am a photographer, traditional, and digital artist. I have worked in almost every medium. From sculpting with my hands in clay to using a Wacom pen and sculpting onto the computer. Using my brush to create the light in my paintings, I use lights inside of game engines to create the mood. I have a wealth of knowledge in game design and focus on quick fixes rather than tangential talk.
When I speak I have something worth saying, and carefully choose my words. I care passionately about my work, whatever that work may be. I've also learned through my failures. I taught for a number of years and as far away as I was from my real passion I was I found how rewarding teaching can be. How important kids are and how many need help or just someone to listen.
